Dove
Streptopelia, sp. (risoria?)
Montrose
Point, Lincoln Park, Chicago
Cook County, IL
25 July 2007
This dove,
looking like a pale African Collared-Dove without the collar, was
at Montrose Point near the water seep. This bird may have been present
for a few weeks before these photos were taken.

Here is a view of the underparts,
followed by a close-up on the underside of the tail.

These photos were taken
with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera, the first and third shot through
a pair of Bausch and Lomb Elite binoculars.
