This Snowy Owl was found
by Bob Huguenard of North Liberty, Indiana on 20 January 2006. When
my wife Chris and I stopped at Michigan City Harbor on 21 Jan, we
ran into Michael Topp, Ken Brock, Susan Bagby, and John Cassady, who
told us about this bird. After a little searching in the area where
it had been seen, Chris spotted it in a coron field.
We were lucky to be able
to see this bird; unfortunately it was picked up dead near US 30 on
23 Jan 2006, perhaps a road kill.
