One Purple
Sandpiper was seen on the Waukegan Beach on 8 December 2004, and then
two were there on 9 December 2004. I had a chance to get up there
on 10 December, and the two birds were still there.
Usually the
Purple Sandpipers at this location hang out on the breakwater; these
were on the beach itself.
