Remarks: Seen on both sides of the Mississippi River. The corresponding Iowa bird records committee number is 82-36; the record was accepted and constituted Iowa's first record for the species (see M.C. Newlon, "Report of the I.O.U. records committee for 1982," Iowa Bird Life 53:35-37, 1983). This bird was found on the Davenport Christmas Bird Count.
