This bird
was present throughout most of the day at Forsythe Park in Hammond,
Indiana on 10 October 2004. Lynea Hinchman posted the news over to
the Illinois birding list serve, IBET, which is how I learned of it.
It was originally found there by Jim Zervos.
That's a Herring
Gull behind the Black Skimmer in the photo. Here's another shot, a
little blurry, but showing the bird more in profile.
